NASHINOKISYA
ARCHITECTURE & WOODWORKS
At Nashinokisya, we are dedicated to crafting architectural timber spaces inspired by the concept of 庵 (an) a traditional Japanese notion of retreat and simplicity. Rooted in this timeless idea, our work seeks to create environments that offer sanctuary from the noise of modern life, fostering both physical rest and mental renewal.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Our approach is grounded in three essential principles:
– The intentional use of natural materials,
– The refinement of craftsmanship,
– A design philosophy that harmonizes with human wellbeing.
Through a thoughtful balance of these elements, we aim to build spaces that do more than function they resonate. Each project is a dialogue between material, maker, and mind, inviting occupants to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves and their surroundings.
CRAFTMANSHIP
Our sole focus is to produce architecture that reflects a deep respect for material, a reverence for craft, and the subtle imprint of the maker’s hand. Every surface tells a story: of touch, care, and intention.
In working with wood, we seek not just to build, but to create places that feel — spaces of stillness, warmth, and healing.

NAtural materials
Wood is one way of making architecture — not the only way, but for us, the most meaningful.
We are drawn to its organic beauty and quiet impermanence — a living material that carries time within it. When timber defines a space, it does more than enclose it; it brings it to life. It breathes, it ages, it responds.
